My name is Michael Rosenberg, and I want to welcome you to the entrepreneurs connection show. In this show, we are going to share the tactics and tricks the mindset about how you, a coach, consultant expert can connect authentically and genuinely, with your audience with your target clients, so that you can create an impact out in the world. And for me, this changed everything I went from going from, you know, slamming the phones, cold calling, to genuinely connecting with people and creating amazing relationships. And if you want to do the same, then I can't wait for you to hear everything that we've got all the amazing experts right here on the entrepreneurs connection show.

All right. Welcome to the entrepreneurs connection show. We are on here with Braden Robbins. He is an amazing coach who helps other coaches to take their business to the next level, and do it with ease and flow and make it simple using what him and his business partner have called the frequency effect. Braden, so glad to have you here. Man. Can you tell us a little bit about your story how you got started? And you know what you're up to now? Yeah, for sure. Well, first of all, thanks for having me on. Man. This is awesome. I'm honored to be on this podcast, a little background. I grew up in Canada, and I moved to Florida. So I moved to the US when I was about 13 years old. And I was playing hockey, my whole life moved out at like 16 to play hockey. And that's what I was like set on, I didn't have a plan B, I was like, I'm gonna play hockey, go to college for it. And then my plan was like drafted into the NHL, seven concussions later, could not pursue that anymore. So then I went to college, and I was studying computer science. I was liking that until I started getting really into the coding stuff, and I just couldn't do it. I could not sit in front of a computer all day and write code was not for me. So then I switched to business marketing. And that was kind of like a vacation. Going to school. And tie say I went to Florida State University for business marketing, it was basically the equivalent, at least for me to like high school. So like, it was really hard to stay focused. And I kind of like went on a spiral and did a bunch of, you know, things that I was not proud of. But the same time looking back now, I'm really glad that that happened. Because I had a certain night that kind of like woke me up. And you know, everyone talks about, like, they had that one experience where they're like, you know, like, what am I doing, and that was one of those. So then January of this year, actually, I went to Spain for three months with my dad, who was gonna bring me into his business. And so I started kind of studying sales and marketing, and you know, a lot of the psychology behind it, which then led from me just going into sales with him to then starting our own company, and building that up. So I've only honestly been in this since January. So that puts us at about, what 11 months now. Yeah, I'm sorry to say 11 months. And then we were originally so what my dad was doing was helping coaches create group programs. So we're just selling that I was just selling that for him. And what we noticed is a lot of coaches were jumping to group programs when they couldn't get their one to one going. But the thing is a group programs not necessarily going to going to change your your business, if it's already not doing well, a group program is more for scaling. So you can manage your time better. So we're noticing that a lot of coaches were coming to us, you know, trying to save their coaching business by creating a program without that wasn't what they needed at the time. So we took a step back and kind of realize like, what, what are these coaches coming in and lacking so that we can create something that, you know, we could give to those coaches so that you can get they can get their one to one going, and then they can come and join, you know, our program to get the group group program going. So then that's what we did. And that's how we came up with the frequency effect. So a little like, quick little synopsis of the frequency effect. Um, we, you know, we like to have people imagine their marketing, you know, their marketing message as like a frequency, right, so you're emitting a frequency out into the market, but your tower, right, your foundation for all that is made up of four things. And if one of those things isn't in alignment, then you're gonna have you know, your frequency is not going to be as strong, you might be hitting the wrong people. And you're just not going to be able to be seen, like the way you want to be seen. So the four things that make up your frequency, are your offer signature process, your messaging and positioning. So in our program, that's what we do. We take people through those four things, and then give them organic strategy, obviously, to support that. And then that's basically what we do. So yeah, there's a little background on me and kind of what I'm doing lately. Yeah, cool. So where where are you? Where are you headed? Like, what are your goals? Three, you know, three years from now what's the vision that you're headed towards? Ah,

Braden Robbins  5:00

Really, you know, had someone asked me that, especially in a setting like this, um, my goal three years.

My goal for three years from now is to be

so weird saying it out loud, but it's gonna happen. So I plan to move this company along fairly quickly in the next year and a half, two years and really hire a bunch of people in because we are on a steady incline right now, but it's gonna get crazy with where we're going. So three years from now, saying it, it's on the record, trying to be an eight figures 100%.

We started this new program in August.

And it's already done way better than our other program. So like, this is like our bread and butter. And I'm putting all my efforts into this. So three years from now, man, I plan to have this, you know, pretty built out bunch of coaches on board everything like that. Yeah, and what will that hitting that eight figure mark and continuing to grow this coaching business? And in this program? What does that gonna allow inside of your life? What's gonna, what's gonna be possible for you? Well, so it's, when I say eight figure, I less mean, like, you know, so focused on the money. Like, obviously, I'm saying that just because we're on a business podcast, but for me, like, the biggest thing I want in my life, is the ability to just do what I want to do, right? Like, if I want to be able to, you know, fly my sister from New York to come visit me like her and her husband, I want to be able to do that. I don't want to be limited by any type of financial restraint. Right? So seeing that, you know, there's people out there doing it, and that you can do that. And I've seen glimpses of that and myself, I'm like, why not? Right? So when I say figure, like, you know, I'm not, it's not that I'm so focused on the money aspect, I'm focused on the freedom aspect, and being able to do what I want, right, and being able to provide for the people that I love and support them in any way that I can.

Michael Rosenberg  6:56

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

And I'm curious, what, what's been for you, so far, in this short journey, like what's been, like the biggest challenge in yourself or in the business?

Braden Robbins  7:20

biggest challenges have nothing to do business related. 100% It's all with your mindset. 100% especially like, you know, people that are entrepreneurs, like, this kid, this stuff can be hard, like, this stuff can take its toll, especially when you're not in the right state. So I learned that the hard way, the really hard way of just, you know, being in the wrong state of mind. So like, we call it a beautiful state or suffering state, right, like, there's two of them. And you know, even just your, your quality of work from a suffering state just lacks compared to the beautiful state. And I had to realize that because, you know, I was looking at a lot of my daily processes as a grind, as opposed to something I wanted to do. So I had to take a look like, you know, a lot of inner work, a deep look inside, like, you know, why am I procrastinating, you know, what am I actually, you know, like, scared of what's the fears here? Where are these insecurities and kind of, you know, take a deep dive into those, because a lot of those things are actually holding me back from, you know, doing better things inside my own business.

Unknown Speaker  8:26

Mm hmm.

Unknown Speaker  8:29

Yeah.

Michael Rosenberg  8:31

Brandon, do you mind sharing, like a breakthrough that you that you've had, and these past couple months, or like something that maybe

Unknown Speaker  8:40

100% a big one, for me, that changed a lot was, I noticed, my outreach game had kind of lacked, and I was reaching out less and less. And the more I think about, you know, starting conversation with new people, I'd find new things to do, or, you know, I'd maybe just not do it and put it off. And so I kind of had to, you know, take a step back and be like, hold on. Like, why are you constantly putting this off? Like, what, what's the issue here? And what I came to the realization was that reaching out to new people and starting these new conversations, I don't know the outcome. Like it's, it's unknown what's gonna happen. But I do know the outcome of what's gonna happen when I decide not to do those conversations and do something else that I'm comfortable with and I'm safe with an eye and I know it's gonna happen. So me being scared of uncertainty. And you know, not being okay with not knowing what's gonna happen, was stopping me from ultimately making sales if we just go down the line. And that's what I had to be like, dude, you got to really check yourself here. Because this resistance is coming from a place of fear because you're just a little scared of the uncertainty You know, being comfortable is you know, the enemy of growth, and I'm not going to grow if I'm being uncomfortable the whole time. So I had to look into that and really be like, man, like, get on this. So what I started doing is, you know, I put it in my calendar, and instead of, you know, giving myself a designated time slot that I normally would, I would double it, and I give myself more time. And then anytime I'd run into resistance, I just stop. And I'd sit there. And I'd be like, what are you actually like, freedom right now? Like, where's this insecurity? And then, you know, take, you know, three or four minutes to kind of realize, you know, work it down the line, and, you know, maybe scared, they're gonna call me out something like this and be like, well, that's stupid. Like, what about the possible better option that could come from this, all that stuff. So I had to, like really dig into that resistance, which helped me a lot, like helped me a lot, because I didn't realize that, you know, the uncomfortableness of uncertainty was stopping me ultimately, from making sales in my business, and you know, having a greater impact on people. Because it's not only sales, for me, it's a win for them, because I'm about to literally change their lives in my program. So at the end of the day, me not fully stepping into myself is hurting, not just myself, but other people as well.

Michael Rosenberg  11:13

Totally. Thanks for sharing that, really. Because I feel like a lot of coaches and even myself, like I've been in the same, same similar situation where it's like, I'm doing outreach, or I'm doing something else. And there's uncertainty, right? And it's just like, well, what's gonna happen if I do this? And you and I think you said it beautifully when you said, you know, what the outcome is going to be if you don't do it. And so both, you know, it's like, double edged sword, right? So that's really powerful, powerful insight right there. For you and for your clients. What's, um, what's some of the most impactful actions that coaches can be taking to connect with their ideal clients are what are you doing? Every day that you're like, this is the number one thing that leads me to getting more clients and helping more people.

Braden Robbins  12:18

When there's a lot of things, there's a ton of things, but I'll be honest, the one thing that when I lack on I see a direct correlation between lack of leads, is consistency. So a lot of people like to like act like you could, you know, kind of post here and there, they like to find ways to automate stuff like that's awesome, good for you. But organic works the best if you're using organic, organic works the best when you're consistent, because it compounds. And when you're not consistent, you're going to see a difference between when you are consistent, because I do, sometimes I'll be really consistent for a month and a half, like I was leading up to our program, and we close 12 k in a week without a single sales call. And then the that we had no sales because I was like, happy. And I didn't really do enough, you know, posting and stuff. But I was consistent for a month and a half wasn't consistent for a week, and then the one week hurt me. So the number one thing I'd say is just being consistent. Obviously, there's a bunch of other things like you should just be posting content, like hoping people are gonna reach out, like, if you're doing that, well, you need a better strategy than that. Because all your content needs to have a certain intention or desired result out of that piece of content. But even before that just comes down to consistency. Like with it, like with everything, even your mindset stuff. That's what I've noticed. It's just down to consistency. It's just having the integrity of I'm going to do this and then following through and doing that.

Michael Rosenberg  13:45

What kind of mindsets? What kind of mindset work do you do consistently.

Braden Robbins  13:50

So in the mornings, I used to have like a long morning routine, which was actually hurting me because then I started to like not want to do it. So now I like to keep it like 30 minutes and under. So I'll do some type of exercise. So I have a dog. Her name is Layla. I love her to death pimple black lab every morning to get up. Nice little 10 minute walk. Then I'll do a guided meditation. And then I'm going to read for 10 minutes. So I like hit everything. So I like my body, my mind and like your soul, right as they would say. So I hit all three.

Michael Rosenberg  14:19

I love that. That's awesome. Um, is there anything So can you tell me what what is the frequency? Oh, you kind of talked about the frequency effect.

Unknown Speaker  14:30

Yeah, kinda.

Michael Rosenberg  14:31

You kind of did a little bit. Um Is there anything that I haven't asked you that you think the world needs to hear that you think other coaches need to hear?

Unknown Speaker  14:48

It's a good question.

Unknown Speaker  14:51

Um,

Braden Robbins  14:54

I would say I okay, I'll say this, because I'm not saying this because I'm coming from a place of like, people hire me to help them. But what I do want to say is, obviously, there's a lot and a lot of people out there right now trying to do a lot of similar things, which can cause a lot of skepticism in the market, especially with like hiring help and stuff like that, which happened to me. It just made it where I like, didn't know who to trust and like who to who to really know who to give my money to, to help me get to, you know, where I want to go. But it was also that skepticism was also blocking me from seeing the people that could actually get me there. Because I had kind of a wallop. So if I was gonna say anything, you'd be, obviously, you know, like, be wary of people online, but like, be open minded to hiring people, because I wasn't at first, and it showed, and then once I kind of opened my mind up and was like, you know, I'm going to invest in myself, there was a lot of changes that I had to make, but I'm so glad that I did that. Because I became open minded, you know, seeking out any type of help or mentor or stuff like that. So I would say like, if I was to say anything, it's like, I understand that there's a lot of stuff out there right now. And it's gonna be kind of hard at first, you know, to like, who you want to trust or who you should hire. But I would say like, stay open minded, and definitely do your research. But like, Don't shut out the idea of, you know, hiring help, because I was like that for a while. And I was like, you know, I'm only I only work with these people, because they're like, famous in this industry and stuff like that. But that's like, it's not how it should be.

Michael Rosenberg  16:39

Cool. Well, Braden, thank you so much for being on here and sharing some really deep insights. Where can people find out more about you how to get in contact with you? How to connect with you.

Braden Robbins  16:55

Um, if you have Facebook, you can just look up my name. It's brain Robbins, and you'll see me with the frequency effect, or we also have a Facebook group for coaches. And that is just facebook.com slash groups slash guru rocket. For sure. Secret man.
