All right, welcome to the entrepreneurs connection, I am so excited to have a friend who is in a program that I'm in. He's an amazing coach, amazing entrepreneur. His name is Daniel K. Ramsay. And without any further ado, I'm just going to turn it over to you to share a little bit about your story of how you got started in this online space and in general, and how you ended up doing what you're doing now.

Okay, right, first of all, thank you so much, Mike, Michael, Mike, for having me on the show. I'd hope you don't call it hope you don't mind me calling you, Mike.

Yeah, good, good. Yeah. So a little bit about me, I have done quite a few things as first started off in the online space about three years ago, but I kind of had what you call SOS, or shiny object syndrome. So I kind of jumped about from thing to thing. I had a digital marketing agency, I've got a Social Media Marketing Agency, I've done affiliate marketing, but I kind of thought I'm helping people already, especially with affiliate marketing, because you have to take them through a journey, try and help them to get their first sale. So it's making an impact, really. So I kind of thought, you know what I'm coaching. So I might as well just go full time for him being a coach. And this is just a shortened version of kind of like what's got me here today, making an impact by taking people through that journey, making sure that they get where they want to get really, and build their businesses.

And the one question I want to ask you today is, what is the number one insight or tactic that coaches and entrepreneurs in the online space can implement today? take action on right now, in order to more powerfully connect with their future clients and their current clients?

Okay, well, I speak to culture is on a daily basis. And one thing I find that they don't do often enough, but it's so powerful for your business, but people hate doing it, is outreach, do outreach outreach is so and I know, I think from our conversations as well, we both own the same thing, we both I don't like doing outreach, but I know that that is what will drive your business forward. And that's what you can go do today, you should be talking to at least 20 people, new people per day in your business, if you want to hit your targets of obviously getting your clients. I think outreach is so so powerful. So that's one thing that I can give one piece of advice I can give to people, entrepreneurs, coaches, to drive their business forward, is start doing outreach and ramp up your outreach as well.

I love that. And I'll ask a little bonus question here. How do you how do you outreach? Like, what's your methodology behind outreach? Because there are so many it's like, you know, basically like, do I spam people? Like how do you approach that?
Daniel K Ramsey 3:48
It's genuine outreach. Now, it's kind of not a long game. But what I one thing you got to stay away from these spammy links straight away. That's, that's a deleted block in my book. If somebody does that, to me, I will delete it when I block it straight away without even respond. So it's about outreach is about building relationships. outreach is about just starting that conversation. Just a Hey, how you doing? Look on their profile to see like, say for instance, they've just been skiing or just did a skydive or whatever it is just say, Hey, I just saw you do skydive. How was it? That starts a conversation up there that shows that you're actually taking an interest in them, and you don't just see them and see them as dollar or pound signs. So it's about just starting that conversation. Do not and then naturally that conversation will turn to business then and then we'll turn to see Try not their challenges, etc. But then the first initial one is just a Hey, so you're in the online space in the same space coaching space, entrepreneur space. How are you doing? I saw you doing this, that blah, blah, blah, then that's it then, but don't spam your link straight away. That's one piece of advice I need to give.

I love that. I think that's I think that's beautiful right there. And I loved what you said like gotta be interested in what they're up to. In order to actually Start that like legitimate conversation.

Exactly. So naturally, as on as online marketers or entrepreneurs, and I do it myself as well, as soon as you kind of smell a sales conversation, your back is up straightaway on online is definitely assuming smell like somebody I saw how's business going, and you think that conversation is going to turn to sales or they're going to try and pitch you something, your back is up, and then that's it, then that person's gone, you have to work 10 times as hard to actually convert that person. So just naturally, just take the conversation and the conversation will take a natural flow, and then it will turn to business eventually. So it's not a case of you just jumping straight in. And there's an analogy as well that I've got to tell your audience sorry. It's like when you walk up to a girl in a bar, and I think you've used this one as our and you can just go straight to them. And I hope no kids are listening now whatsoever. You can't just go to the go to girl in the bar and say Hey, can I get any panties now straightaway, obviously need to buy a drink any type of conversation? Anytime she talked to her find out a little bit more about her, what she does, etc. them in the night. That's when obviously the magic happens, as I say, but he won't happen straightaway. Unless you're in some dirty dingy place. But yeah.

You gotta start out with a regular old conversation conversation exactly what you want the classy people, like I'd say stick with a woman analogy. You want the classy woman you don't want the Yeah, you understand where this is going. So yeah.
